Glasses

Our beers are a bit out of the ordinary. For that extra dash of authenticity it should be served in its proper glass. After all, you wouldn't serve champagne in a Paris goblet, so why serve beers which in their native land have their own appropriate glassware in a cheap looking half pint tumbler?
Every customer knows that the cost of the ingredients is just a small part of the price of the meal on the table. We can help you add that value that makes the whole experience better and more memorable.

The right glass enhances the presentation of the beer enormously. A balloon type glass enhances the aroma of a rich beer whilst a flute preserves the fizz of something spritzy. Hence a Belgian trappist beer has a chalice shaped glass and German wheat beer has a tall vase like glass.
A scotch ale from Belgium should come in a thistle shaped glass, and perhaps that is taking it a bit far, but there is no doubt that it adds to the authenticity and adds interest, not only to the customers but also your staff.

Studies undertaken at the University of Leuven on how the shape of the glass affect the flavour came up with some not very surprising results. Trained tasters (what a great job!) and sensory analysis linked flavours with the amount of foam and the shapes of glasses.
We have glasses for most of our beers and all our draught beers have Government stamped badged glassware. We want you to serve the beer in the correct glass and we will do our absolute utmost to make sure that when you order beer we will send you the glasses as well. It shows in University studies!
