EggenbergerThere has been commercial brewing at Eggenberg since 1681, with beer made there since at least the 1100s. Eggenberg belonged to a Benedictine monastery and can be found on the border of Salzburg and Passau; a famous Austrian brewery producing an eclectic mix of beers. HopfenkönigTo give its full title, 'Schloss Eggenberg Hopfenkönig', is the pinnacle beer of the Austrian Schloss Eggenberg brewery. It is a lightly golden pils style beer with a mild flavour, fermented and matured for twelve weeks in the historic cellars of Eggenburg. SamichlausOne of the rarest beers in the world, it is brewed on only one day of the year - December 6th (St. Nicolas day) and fermented and matured for ten months before bottling. The vintage beer results with a whacking strength of 14% abv! MacQueens NessieNessie is a dark red beer known as a ‘whisky among beers’ as it is made with Scottish whisky malt. Urbock 23Urbock 23 is a dark golden, complex beer matured for months in the cellars of the brewery's castle.
