Flying Dog Ales

The Flying Dog 'Brew Crew' are behind a unique take on traditional beer styles and their indomitable creative spirit has led them to producing some superb beers.

Whether or not you believe the stories surrounding the start of Flying Dog, what we do know is in 1990 George Stranahan and Richard McIntyre opened the Flying Dog Brewpub in Aspen, Colorado and have been brewing some of the best American beers ever since.

Doggie Style Classic Pale Ale

Brilliant-amber in colour and dry hopped with buckets full of Cascades for an unrivalled hop flavour and aroma. This is a true representation of an American-style Pale Ale.

Old Scratch Amber Lager

A malty, mellow beer that is fermented at medium temperatures to develop both ale and lager characteristics. It pours with a thick, creamy head and the malt sweetness is balanced with a citrus hop finish.

Gonzo Imperial Porter

Gonzo Imperial Porter is mysteriously dark with a rich and malty body, intense roasted flavors, and a surprisingly unique hop kick. With Gonzo weighing in at 7.8% ABV, it will bite you in the ass if you don't show it the proper respect.

Snake Dog India Pale Ale

A Colorado-style IPA, power hopped with speciality hops from the Pacific Northwest. This is the brewery's hop monster and the citrus fruit aroma will hypnotize the senses!

Raging Bitch

One of the most talked about beers in years, Flying Dog's 20th Anniversary beer jumps out of the glass and nips at your taste buds! An American IPA augmented with Belgian yeast, Raging Bitch is dangerously drinkable and has a delicate hop bitterness.

Gonzo journalist and long time friend of Flying Dog owner George Stranahan, Hunter S Thompson was a large influence
on the creation of Flying Dog brand. The unique labels and branding are the work of artist co-conspirator Ralph Steadman.
